Electric service with Egyptian Electric Cooperative can be initiated by phone or in-person. Please have the following information available when applying for service.

  • The correct mailing address you will be using. If you will be using a mailing address different than the service location, please have both addresses available, mailing and service.
  • Your social security number as well as your spouse’s, if married.
  • Roommates names, if any.
  • The date you wish service to begin. This should be no sooner than the following day and must be Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
  • A valid phone or cell phone number. This will be used during the outage reporting process to identify you when reporting an outage.

If service can be transfered from one party to another without requiring EECA to send a serviceman into the field, there is no connect fee. If the Cooperative is required to send a serviceman to physically connect a service, there is a $40.00 connect fee required before service will be connected. Electric service can be initiated either by phone or in person, however a membership application must be completed first. Please complete the application and email to billing@eeca.coop or fax to 888-554-8181.

Egyptian Electric's deposit policy is designed to assess the credit risk associated with applications for service. This policy is based upon the use of a screening tool to assess credit risk during delinquency and disconnect proceedings and at the time of application for service for new and returning members. The security deposit for electric service shall be determined based on the credit risk assessment and board policy.
