Egyptian Electric Cooperative Get Charged! Program

Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and Discovery Channel School have teamed up to offer a unique educational tool that provides a real-world understanding of the power and purpose of electricity, as well as the importance of electric cooperatives in bringing power to rural America.

Combining Discovery Channel School's Get Charged! curriculum kits with Touchstone Energy co-ops' branding efforts, Egyptian Electric Cooperative provides a tool educators need to teach middle/junior high school (grades 5-9) students about electricity. This initiative is a vehicle that highlights our commitment to the communities we serve while providing an effective educational program about electricity and rural electrification.

Each school within the service area of the Cooperative has received a Get Charged! Discovery Channel kit. If your school did not receive one, you need additional kits for more classrooms, or your’s is in need of replacement, please contact us at 1-800-606-1505 or email bcramer@eeca.coop.
